When we last checked in on our intrepid host (me), I was giving away an 11″x14″ print to the person who could correctly identify where I was when I scared captured myself with my camera.
Well, I had dozens of entries and I want to thank everyone for playing along. The correct answer and I can’t believe more of you didn’t get it was The Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara. To be specific, I was in the Men’s Room (TMI?) just outside the bar off the lobby.
Now onto the winners. There were two people who persevered, burned up Google and showed a commitment to winning (at any cost) rarely seen in this day and age.
So congratulations go out to Bo who selected this image to hang on her wall and Robin (who is being notified by a St. Bernard), who chose this one. View them in good health.

I’ve never seen a James Bond movie. I googled James Bond’s favorite card game and after going through a gazillion results, it game me … don’t laugh … “canasta” was Bond’s favorite card game. Okay, you may laugh now! Like you waited for my permission!

Hmm, if you ask Ron, and twist his arm, he’ll tll you I though canasta too. My second guess was baccarat. And then finding the town nearly drove me crazy! Wait – maybe I am crazy – crazy enough to hold dinner for 2 hours one night when I was determined to first answer the damn question.
I think Robin may be right – you hit a certain age and stubbornness and fierce determination take over. Ha!

Okay, I guess I have passed that certain age. I’m older than Robin, probably older than Bo, too. Oh well, at least I have my Bolivia book to look forward whenever the thing arrives!
